Mac Operator / Artworker

Due to expansion, we have an exciting new vacancy for a full time Artworker / Mac Operator to join our busy design studio team.

Company

As one of the largest printing companies in the North West, we work with major blue chip accounts throughout the UK and overseas. Based in Poulton-le-Fylde in our modern 20,000 square foot facility, we offer the highest quality offset litho printing, complete with digital computer-to-plate technology and in-house print finishing.

The Role

Working in our busy design studio you will be responsible for checking artwork before proofing out for customer approval.

• Creating print-ready PDFs from supplied client artwork
• Work methodically and accurately performing quality checks to produce press specific proofs matching the spec of each job
• Ensure artwork is achievable within print production constraints
• Ensure all quality control procedures are adhered to and all relevant documents are completed

What you’ll need

• Experience of using Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat
• Experience and proficiency in using Apple Mac and Windows operating systems
• A creative background is desirable, but not essential
• Experience in a reprographics environment would be an advantage
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
• Manage own workload whether that be in a team or alone, whilst keeping to deadlines

Sales Executive

The Role

We are an expanding and profitable printer specialising in Litho B2B & B2C Print sectors. We are currently looking to recruit hungry, highly driven and ambitious Sales people to join our existing team.

The ideal candidate (s) will be enthusiastic, keen to learn and progress, with some experience in the print industry. We will consider account managers / customer service managers that would like to move into a new business field!

You will work alongside the Managing Director and be guided through any training that is necessary over the first few months.

• You must possess the ability to ‘close’ the deal & enforce strong company relationships!
• Self-motivated as well as having the ability to work within a team

Print Finisher

The Role

Due to expansion, we have an exciting new vacancy for an experienced guillotine operators / print finishers. Are you are passionate about quality print> This role may be for you.

What you’ll need

The successful candidate must have Previous experience working on Polar or Schneider Guillotine. Must be an organised, well presented person, who is happy to work as part of a team.

As a company we operate Guillotines, Cylinder, Horizon Folder, Horizon Booklet Maker, Duplo Perfect Binder, Autobond Laminator, plus various other finishing equipment. Our expectation is that the successful applicants have some knowledge of this or similar equipment but not necessarily all - full training would be given on all equipment.

Working Hours will initially be 8.00am to 4.30pm + Overtime COMPETITIVE SALARY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE Must be willing to work split shifts.

Apprentice Printer

Due to expansion, we have an exciting new opportunity for an Apprentice to join our busy print team at our modern factory in Poulton-le-Fylde.

The Role

You will support staff in our experienced print team, whilst learning how to operate offset litho printing presses and print finishing machinery.
