Estimator

An opportunity has arisen for a Print Estimator/Account Manager to join our busy commercial team.

The Role

As a Print Estimator you will work closely with clients and the sales team to ensure work is accurately and efficiently quoted. The role also has a considerable amount of account management. You will develop strong working relationships with key clients by regular contact on the phone, following up your estimates to ensure best possible conversion of enquiries is always achieved. You will also be required to liaise with the production manager on a regular basis to discuss required lead times. The commercial department is a busy and fast paced environment and you will need to be comfortable dealing with multiple projects of all sizes and therefore be able to prioritise your workload accordingly.

What you’ll need

• Strong knowledge of the printing industry
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• The ability to work accurately whilst under pressure
• A good confident telephone manner and communication skills.
• Experience in Accura MIS is an advantage but training will be given.

Graphic Designer

Responsibilities Include:

• Create new artwork for a wide range of business and personal clients – no two days in our studio are the same, so if you like variety, this position will be perfect for you! You will be able to work on anything from business cards to brochures to banners.
• Carefully check artwork files supplied to us by clients, and highlight any issues or errors to ensure they are correct before they are passed to print.
• Work closely with an assortment of large and small business customers, building positive working relationships with them and ensuring that their queries are answered quickly and efficiently.
• Working in a fast paced office environment, you should be able to manage workload effectively, using your own initiative to prioritise jobs accordingly and ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a proficient user of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Be a competent PC user and have experience using Microsoft Office
• Have a working knowledge of graphic design, particularly design for print
• Be able to manage your own time efficiently and meet deadlines
• Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Show excellent attention to detail
• Be able to work as part of a team, while also being able to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload
•  Show a willingness to learn new skills and try new things
• Design or print qualifications desired, but  your portfolio should demonstrate your ability and skill.
